A lot of people don't want to spend too much on mobile phones so we have come up with a list of top 10 best smartphones under 8000 with 4G VOLTE in India as of 2019.

A lot of these phones were launched recently and come with latest processors. Most of the phones have 2GB or 3GB of RAM which is sufficient for everyday use. You won't face any lag issues while multitasking. Playing heavy games might be a problem because the hardware is not that powerful.

All these phones have 4G so you will be good speed on your 4G network and you can use Volte as well is you have Jio sim cards. The screen size of these phones is between 5 and 6 inches. There are a couple of latest phones as well which have 18:9 aspect ration bezel-less full view displays. Latest Realme 2 with notch display have also been added to the list.

The camera on most of these phones is 13 or 16MP sensor on the rear and 5 or 8MP sensor on the front for taking selfies. Camera performance of these phones in daylight is decent and won't disappoint you. Dual camera phones are also added if you like to take portrait mode pictures with bokeh effect. Some phones also have latest 18:9 aspect ratio bezel-less displays as well.

On the storage side, most of the phones have 16GB of storage which can be increased with a MicroSD card. MicroSD cards are cheap and you add 32GB storage in just Rs. 600-700. If you are going to add a MicroSD then go for Class 10 or high-speed cards for best performance. They are little costly but that's what you need to get a good experience on your phone.

Here's the list of TOP 10 Best Smartphones Under 8000 in India 2019 (4G Phones)

1. Realme C1

Realme C1 is a budget phone from Realme and is priced around Rs. 7000 in India. First, let's talk about design which is the USP of this device. There is a large 6.2-inch notch display on the front with a screen to body ratio of around 90%. This is something we have never seen on under 7000 Rs phones. The display resolution is HD only but it looks decent with good color reproduction and brightness. The phone has a diamond cut design on the back which looks nice as well. Looks wise, this is one of the best phones under 7000 to 8000 as of Q4 2018.

Inside, there is a Snapdragon 450 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The Snapdragon 450 is a good power efficient chipset with decent performance. If you need more than 16GB storage then use the dedicated MicroSD slot provided.

The rear camera is 13MP+2MP. The 13MP is a color sensor and the 2MP is a depth sensor for portrait mode pictures. The front camera is an 8MP shooter. The camera performance is good considering that this is a 7000 Rs. phone. Images look good overall with a decent amount of details and good colors.

The battery inside the phone is massive 4230 mAh which would last for 2 days on medium usage and 1.5 days on heavy usage. Thumbs up to Realme for adding a big battery and still keeping the phone lightweight and easy to use.

If you are looking for a great looking phone with notch display and dual camera under 7000 to 8000, then Realme C1 is great for you.

2. Lenovo A5

Lenovo A5 is a budget phone from Lenovo and is priced around Rs. 6000 in India. It comes with specs similar to other smartphones in this range. On the front, we have a 5.45 inch HD display which looks fine. On the back, we have a 13MP camera and a fingerprint sensor. The camera works well and takes decent pictures in outdoor natural light conditions. The performance indoors is average just like other budget phones. For selfies, there is an 8MP camera on the front and has a similar story with decent pictures in good lighting condition.

The A5 is powered by MediaTek MTK6739 processor which is an entry-level chipset and support 4G VOLTE. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The storage is expandable by a MicroSD card. The slot is dedicated so you won't be compromising with the dual sim functionality of the phone. The 2GB RAM struggles if you use a lot of apps. If you just going to use the phone for calling, WhatsApp and Facebook then you would be fine.

The battery inside the phone is the USP of this device. A5 comes with a large 4000 mAh battery. Smaller display, lower resolution, efficient processor and a large battery means you are going to get excellent battery backup from this phone. With regular usage, you can get a backup of 2 days on a single charge.

If you need a big battery budget phone at a price of under 6000 to 7000, then Lenovo A5 is a decent option.

3. Redmi 6 32GB

Redmi 6 is a budget phone from Xiaomi with decent specs and is priced under Rs. 10000 in India. It comes with a 5.45-inch display and has a resolution of HD+. It is a tall display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The display quality is just okay and there's not much to write about it. The phone looks very average overall.

The phone is well built and feels very solid. It follows the same metal unibody design approach which you must have seen on other Redmi phones. Inside the phone, we have a 3000 mah battery which provides 1-day battery backup with normal usage.

Redmi 6 is powered by 2.0 GHz MediaTek P22 Octacore processor which is built on 12nm technology and provides good performance. There is 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of storage. The phone is able to handle multitasking and you won't feel any lag in the day to day usage.

On the rear, Redmi 6 has a dual camera setup of 12MP + 5MP with 1.25um pixel size. The camera performance is actually good if you consider the price segment. The pictures look nice with good colors and saturation. The portrait mode pictures also look nice and edge detection is good because of the 5MP depth sensor.

The phone comes in 4 colors: Black, Blue, Gold and Rose Gold. The Rose Gold color looks really nice and is our favorite.

Redmi 6 at this price isn't the best option available as of now. Phones like Realme 2 and Asus Zenfone are much better options.

4. Asus Zenfone Lite L1

Asus Zenfone Lite L1 is an entry-level budget phone for those who don't use a lot of apps and need to use it for basic stuff like watching videos, WhatsApp, Facebook and calling. The phone has a 5.45 inch HD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The display looks fine with good brightness and decent colors. The phone has a plastic build which helps to keep the weight down. It weighs just around 140 gm.

The processor inside the phone is Snapdragon 430 with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The processor is good but 2GB RAM is the bottleneck and you will face lag if you use a lot of apps. Still, for the price, the performance is decent. The battery is 3000 mAh and with a small HD display and power efficient processor, it will easily last for a day with medium usage. The charger provided in the box is slow and takes around 3 hours to fully charge the device.

On the back, we have a single 13MP camera and on the front, we have 5MP camera for selfies. The camera performance is okay and pictures look decent.

Other options in this price range include options like Redmi 5A and Redmi 6A. 6A has a bit better performance but will cost more as well. If you have a budget of around 5000 to 6000 then you can go for Zenfone Lite L1.

5. Infinix Note 5

Infinix has made a decent name in the Indian market by providing good quality products and Infinix Hot S3, Hot 6 Pro has received good feedback from its users. With Infinix Note 5, they look to further strengthen the user base in under 10000 range by competing with the likes to Redmi Note 5 and Oppo Realme.

Infinix Note 5 comes with a 5.99 inch IPS display which is bright and present good colours with proper viewing angles. The display is a bezel-less type with an 18:9 aspect ratio with a Full HD Plus resolution 1080 x 2160 pixels which is a great starting point for a phone under 10k. Secondly, the back is a glass design which looks superbly premium and shiny, you also get a transparent cover in the box to prevent fingerprint smudges.

Note 5 is powered by a MediaTek helio P23 Octa-core processor which scores around 61000 on the AnTuTu Benchmark. It is backed by a 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. There is a dedicated SD card slot to expand the storage by up to 256 GB so you can use this phone as a proper dual sim phone. The performance is decent for day to day usage but is not recommended to play heavy game continuously.

On the camera side, you get a single 12MP rear camera which clicks decent pictures but some noise could be observed in the low light shots. On the front camera, you get a 16MP sensor, which clicks beautiful photos as well as portrait shots in the daylight but struggles a bit in the low light images. Overall, it is a decent camera for the pricing.

Infinix Note 5 runs on Android Oreo 8.1 and has stock android and comes under the Android One Program with guaranteed updates to Android P and Android Q. The UI is very smooth and has zero bloatware apart from the pre-installed Google apps. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back which is quick and accurate in unlocking. It also gets a humungous battery of 4500 mAh which translates to a battery life of around 2 days or even higher for moderate usage. Even with such a big battery, the phone does not weigh heavy in hand and is easy to work with.

Overall, for this cost of 10000, it is a decent phone for those looking for a stylish look and a huge battery life. The camera and performance are at par with other phones available in this price range.

6. Oppo Realme 2

Realme 2 is the successor Realme 1 which was launched in May 2018. The 2 is not really a successor of 1 as a lot of things have been downgraded. But, if you consider the under 10k pricing, it is not a bad phone at all.

First, let's talk about design which is the USP of this device. There is a large 6.2-inch notch display on the front with a screen to body ratio of around 90%. This is something we have never seen on under 10000 Rs phones. The display resolution is HD only but it looks decent with good color reproduction and brightness. The phone has a diamond cut design on the back which looks nice as well. Looks wise, this is one of the best phones under 10000 as of Q4 2018.

Inside, there is a Snapdragon 450 chipset with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of storage. The 3-32GB variant is priced at 8999 and 4-64GB is priced at 10999. The Snapdragon 450 is a good power efficient chipset with decent performance. With 4GB of RAM, you will see smooth multitasking and gaming. If you need more than 64GB storage then use the dedicated MicroSD slot provided.

The rear camera is 13MP+2MP. The 13MP is a color sensor and the 2MP is a depth sensor for portrait mode pictures. The front camera is an 8MP shooter. The camera performance is good considering that this is a 10000 Rs. phone. Images look good overall with a decent amount of details and good colors.

7. Honor 7A

Honor 7A was launched as a budget smartphone in the last week of May and has a great value for money score. It has simple looks (nothing extraordinary) but the hardware configuration and performance is one the best for any phone priced under 9000.

It has a 5.7-inch HD+ display and has an aspect ratio of 18:9 (bezel-less display). It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Chipset and is backed by 3 GB of RAM. It scores around 45000 on the Antutu Benchmark which is a good score for a smartphone in this price range. The performance is smooth and it can very well handle all the day to day tasks or watching video or playing some low to medium end games. It is not meant for high-end gaming as the processor and the GPU does not support it and affects the performance.

It has 32 GB of inbuilt storage and can be expanded by up to 256 GB. On the camera side, it has a dual rear camera with 13 MP and 2MP sensor and on the front, it has an 8 MP sensor. The images from both front and rear are both up to the mark given the price range and the camera performs equivalently to the competitors in this price range. It also supports portrait/bokeh shots from the rear camera and it works well.

This smartphone runs on EMUI 8.0  which is a custom skin based on Android Oreo. The UI is responsive but has some bloatware which cannot be removed. It has a battery rated at 3000 mAH which keeps the phones backed up for a day easily.

Honor 7A is a complete budget smartphone and is a good option for a pricing of under 9000.
