A lot of these phones were launched recently and come with the latest processors. Most of the phones have 2GB or 3GB of RAM which is sufficient for everyday use. You won't face any lag issues while multitasking. Playing heavy games might be a problem because the hardware is not that powerful.

All these phones have 4G so you will be good speed on your 4G network and you can use Volte as well is you have Jio sim cards. The screen size of these phones is between 5.5 and 6.3 inches. Some of the latest phones have 19:9 aspect ratio bezel-less notch displays.

The camera on most of these phones is 13 or 16MP sensor on the rear and 5 or 8MP sensor on the front for taking selfies. Camera performance of these phones in daylight is decent and won't disappoint you. Dual camera phones are also added if you like to take portrait mode pictures with bokeh effect.

Here's the list of TOP 10 Best Smartphones Under 8000 in India 2019 (4G Phones)

1. Infinix Smart 3 Plus

Infinix Smart 3 Plus is a budget phone from Infinix which is priced under 7000 in India. The phone is well built and looks nice as well. The display is 6.2 inches large waterdrop notch display with a screen to body ratio of 88%. The display can get very bright and has good colors. The resolution is just HD+ so it is not that sharp.

The camera on the rear is a triple camera setup of 13MP + 2MP + Low Light sensor. The triple camera is just a gimmick as the third sensor doesn't add any value so you should consider it as regular dual camera where 13MP is the color sensor and 2MP is the depth sensor. On the front, we have an 8MP selfie camera. The camera performance of the phone is not that great but not bad as well. It can take some decent pictures in outdoor conditions. Considering the price segment of this phone, there's not much to complain.

The Smart 3 Plus phone is powered by MediaTek A22 Quad Core 2.0GHz Processor which is a decent processor in this range. For storing pictures, videos, apps, and games, there is 32GB internal storage and to handle multiple apps there is 2GB of RAM which might not be sufficient if you are a heavy user. The battery is 3500 mAh and would give one day of backup with normal use.

Overall, Infinix Smart 3 Plus is a nice looking budget phone with decent performance under 7000. The 2GB RAM is a limiting factor while multitasking so if you use a lot of apps, go with a phone with at least 3GB RAM. If you are just going to use social media apps and calling then Smart 3 Plus would work fine for you.

2. Samsung M10 16GB

Samsung M10 is Samsung's budget phone to compete with brands like Redmi and Realme. It comes with great looks and large display and doesn't look like a budget phone at all. The display is 6.2 inches large and the resolution is HD+. It has a tiny waterdrop notch on top. Samsung calls it Infinity V display. The bezels are thin and the screen to body ratio is above 90%.

There is a dual camera setup on the back and single front selfie camera. The rear setup is 13MP+5MP where 13MP is a color lens and 5MP is ultra wide angle lens to capture a wider field of view. The front camera is a normal 5MP sensor. The camera performance is quite good considering the device is priced at less than Rs. 8000 and there's not much to complain.

The phone is powered by Samsung's own Exynos 7870 chipset and comes in 2 variants: 2GB RAM and 16GB Storage, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The price difference is just 1000 so it makes sense to go for the higher variant as extra RAM will be useful in multitasking and extra storage is always great to store more music, videos, and other files. There is a dedicated MicroSD slot available as well to increase the storage by up to 256GB.

The battery inside the M10 is 3400 mAh and would give a backup of 1 day with normal usage. With low use you can get around 1.5 days on a single charge.

Overall, M10 is a solid offering from Samsung in the budget segment and competes with phones like Realme C1 and Redmi 6. It is the best phone under 8000 from Samsung in India.

3. Realme C1

Realme C1 is a budget phone from Realme and is priced around Rs. 7000 in India. First, let's talk about design which is the USP of this device. There is a large 6.2-inch notch display on the front with a screen to body ratio of around 90%. This is something we have never seen on under 7000 Rs phones. The display resolution is HD only but it looks decent with good color reproduction and brightness. The phone has a diamond cut design on the back which looks nice as well. Looks wise, this is one of the best phones under 7000 to 8000 as of Q4 2018.

Inside, there is a Snapdragon 450 chipset with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The Snapdragon 450 is a good power efficient chipset with decent performance. If you need more than 16GB storage then use the dedicated MicroSD slot provided.

The rear camera is 13MP+2MP. The 13MP is a color sensor and the 2MP is a depth sensor for portrait mode pictures. The front camera is an 8MP shooter. The camera performance is good considering that this is a 7000 Rs. phone. Images look good overall with a decent amount of details and good colors.

The battery inside the phone is massive 4230 mAh which would last for 2 days on medium usage and 1.5 days on heavy usage. Thumbs up to Realme for adding a big battery and still keeping the phone lightweight and easy to use.

If you are looking for a great looking phone with notch display and dual camera under 7000 to 8000, then Realme C1 is great for you.

4. Asus Zenfone Max M2

Asus Zenfone Max M2 and Max Pro M2 are the successors of Zenfone Max M1 which was one of the bestsellers in the under Rs. 15000 segment. The M2 and M2 Pro packs improvement in the processor, camera, and design and look like good upgrades.

The Zenfone Max M2 is the budget variant and comes with a simple design and Snapdragon 632. The back design is the same as Zenfone Max Pro M1 and on the front, there is one minor change which is that now we have a notch display. The display resolution is just HD which is a bit disappointing because it is a large 6.3-inch display and if you are used to high-resolution displays, this is going to look pixelated. If you are not used to high-resolution displays then you won't probably notice it.

The processor inside the Zenfone Max M2 is Snapdragon 632 with 3/4GB of RAM and 32/64GB of storage. There is a difference of Rs.2000 in the two variants and if you are a heavy user, go for the 4-64GB variant. The Snapdragon 632 is a good processor and power efficient as well. It will handle switching between apps and games without any issues. The battery inside the phone is 4000 mAh which means you can expect a backup of 1.5 to 2 days on a single charge.

The camera on Zenfone Max M2 is probably the best camera on an under Rs. 10000 smartphone. On the rear, we have a dual camera system (13 MP + 2 MP) that will help you take bright photos any time of the day, or even at night. The 2 MP camera is a depth sensor for bokeh/portrait mode pictures. The 13 MP primary camera has a wide F1.8 aperture, 1.12 µm (micrometer) pixel size, and 0.03S PDAF for clear and vibrant photos in almost any lighting condition. Plus, it has EIS and you can record up to 4K UHD videos. Asus has also added some AI features which help to detect scenes and improve performance.

Overall, Zenfone Max M2 is a well-balanced smartphone under Rs. 10000. It has a good processor, it can take great pictures and the battery backup is excellent as well.

5. Lenovo A5

Lenovo A5 is a budget phone from Lenovo and is priced around Rs. 6000 in India. It comes with specs similar to other smartphones in this range. On the front, we have a 5.45 inch HD display which looks fine. On the back, we have a 13MP camera and a fingerprint sensor. The camera works well and takes decent pictures in outdoor natural light conditions. The performance indoors is average just like other budget phones. For selfies, there is an 8MP camera on the front and has a similar story with decent pictures in good lighting condition.

The A5 is powered by MediaTek MTK6739 processor which is an entry-level chipset and support 4G VOLTE. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. The storage is expandable by a MicroSD card. The slot is dedicated so you won't be compromising with the dual sim functionality of the phone. The 2GB RAM struggles if you use a lot of apps. If you just going to use the phone for calling, WhatsApp and Facebook then you would be fine.

The battery inside the phone is the USP of this device. A5 comes with a large 4000 mAh battery. Smaller display, lower resolution, efficient processor and a large battery means you are going to get excellent battery backup from this phone. With regular usage, you can get a backup of 2 days on a single charge.

If you need a big battery budget phone at a price of under 6000 to 7000, then Lenovo A5 is a decent option.

6. Asus Zenfone Lite L1

Asus Zenfone Lite L1 is an entry-level budget phone for those who don't use a lot of apps and need to use it for basic stuff like watching videos, WhatsApp, Facebook and calling. The phone has a 5.45 inch HD display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The display looks fine with good brightness and decent colors. The phone has a plastic build which helps to keep the weight down. It weighs just around 140 gm.

The processor inside the phone is Snapdragon 430 with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The processor is good but 2GB RAM is the bottleneck and you will face lag if you use a lot of apps. Still, for the price, the performance is decent. The battery is 3000 mAh and with a small HD display and power efficient processor, it will easily last for a day with medium usage. The charger provided in the box is slow and takes around 3 hours to fully charge the device.

On the back, we have a single 13MP camera and on the front, we have 5MP camera for selfies. The camera performance is okay and pictures look decent.

Other options in this price range include options like Redmi 5A and Redmi 6A. 6A has a bit better performance but will cost more as well. If you have a budget of around 5000 to 6000 then you can go for Zenfone Lite L1.

7. Nokia 5.1 Plus

Nokia 5.1 Plus is a budget phone from Nokia which comes with an excellent build quality, looks very premium and has a powerful processor. Nokia 5.1 Plus has a glass design which gives it a premium look and makes it a bit slippery as well. On the front, we have a 5.8 inch HD display with a notch. The resolution is not full HD so that's a negative but still the clarity, color reproduction and brightness is good.

Inside there is an Helio P60 processor which is a very powerful chipset and power efficient as well. Performance wise, it is a bit better than Snapdragon 660 so that's great. To assist the multitasking there is just 3GB of RAM. The phone runs on stock android with no bloatware at all so even with 3GB RAM, the performance is great and you won't face any lags. For storage, there is 32GB of storage.

The battery inside is 3060mAh which provides average battery backup. With normal usage, you can expect a backup of 1 day on a single charge. The charger provided is 5V 2Amp normal charger.

8. Infinix Note 5

Infinix has made a decent name in the Indian market by providing good quality products and Infinix Hot S3, Hot 6 Pro has received good feedback from its users. With Infinix Note 5, they look to further strengthen the user base in under 10000 range by competing with the likes to Redmi Note 5 and Oppo Realme.

Infinix Note 5 comes with a 5.99 inch IPS display which is bright and present good colours with proper viewing angles. The display is a bezel-less type with an 18:9 aspect ratio with a Full HD Plus resolution 1080 x 2160 pixels which is a great starting point for a phone under 10k. Secondly, the back is a glass design which looks superbly premium and shiny, you also get a transparent cover in the box to prevent fingerprint smudges.

Note 5 is powered by a MediaTek helio P23 Octa-core processor which scores around 61000 on the AnTuTu Benchmark. It is backed by a 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. There is a dedicated SD card slot to expand the storage by up to 256 GB so you can use this phone as a proper dual sim phone. The performance is decent for day to day usage but is not recommended to play heavy game continuously.

On the camera side, you get a single 12MP rear camera which clicks decent pictures but some noise could be observed in the low light shots. On the front camera, you get a 16MP sensor, which clicks beautiful photos as well as portrait shots in the daylight but struggles a bit in the low light images. Overall, it is a decent camera for the pricing.

Infinix Note 5 runs on Android Oreo 8.1 and has stock android and comes under the Android One Program with guaranteed updates to Android P and Android Q. The UI is very smooth and has zero bloatware apart from the pre-installed Google apps. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back which is quick and accurate in unlocking. It also gets a humungous battery of 4500 mAh which translates to a battery life of around 2 days or even higher for moderate usage. Even with such a big battery, the phone does not weigh heavy in hand and is easy to work with.

Overall, for this cost of 10000, it is a decent phone for those looking for a stylish look and a huge battery life. The camera and performance are at par with other phones available in this price range.

9. Honor 7A

Honor 7A was launched as a budget smartphone in the last week of May and has a great value for money score. It has simple looks (nothing extraordinary) but the hardware configuration and performance is one the best for any phone priced under 9000.

It has a 5.7-inch HD+ display and has an aspect ratio of 18:9 (bezel-less display). It is powered by an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Chipset and is backed by 3 GB of RAM. It scores around 45000 on the Antutu Benchmark which is a good score for a smartphone in this price range. The performance is smooth and it can very well handle all the day to day tasks or watching video or playing some low to medium end games. It is not meant for high-end gaming as the processor and the GPU does not support it and affects the performance.

It has 32 GB of inbuilt storage and can be expanded by up to 256 GB. On the camera side, it has a dual rear camera with 13 MP and 2MP sensor and on the front, it has an 8 MP sensor. The images from both front and rear are both up to the mark given the price range and the camera performs equivalently to the competitors in this price range. It also supports portrait/bokeh shots from the rear camera and it works well.

This smartphone runs on EMUI 8.0  which is a custom skin based on Android Oreo. The UI is responsive but has some bloatware which cannot be removed. It has a battery rated at 3000 mAH which keeps the phones backed up for a day easily.

Honor 7A is a complete budget smartphone and is a good option for a pricing of under 9000.

The RAM and Storage are 2GB and 16GB with Helio A22 chipset. This configuration is sufficient for basic usage. Overall it is one of the best entry-level mobile phones. If you are going to use a lot of apps then go for the 3GB RAM variant as 2GB won't be enough to handle the multitasking and you might experience lag.

The camera on the back is 13MP and on the front is 5MP. The camera performance is okay for the price. The battery is 3000 mAh and would last for a day with normal usage.
