1. Nokia 4.2
The Nokia 4.2 is the perfect phone for those who have extremely light usage. The 4.2 comes with a 5.71-inch HD+ display which runs at a resolution of 1520x720 which more than enough for casual users. The panel is not of the highest quality but will definitely not disappoint you for usage on a daily basis.
On the camera front, we get a dual-camera setup at the rear. This is in the form of a 13MP primary and 2MP depth-sensor which delivers decent results for casual photos. This said the front 8MPselfie shooter is also pretty decent and will be sufficient for selfies.
The phone is powered by the budget class Qualcomm Snapdragon 439. This is an octa-core CPU with a 12nm architecture. Again, if you are a casual user who would be using the phone for WhatsApp and phone calls and maybe some light web browsing the 4.2 will be more than enough. Other aspects of the hardware involve 3GB of RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage which can be further expanded up to 400GB. What makes for a pretty decent experience is the use of stock Android 9 pie on the phone.
Thanks to the use of stock android, the energy-efficient processor and the HD+ resolution display you will easily be able to get a day of battery life out of the 3000mAh battery.

Motorola E6s is the 2019 variant from the E-series of phones. Let us see how it handles the competition from Xiaomi and Realme in under 8000 budget segment phones.
It has a 6.1-inch HD+ display and the screen to body ratio is around 80 percent with some bezels on each side. There is a TPU case in the box to get rid of the fingerprint smudges that come on the back panel because of its shiny finish.
Moto E6s is powered by the MediaTek Helio P22 with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. The multitasking and day to day activities are handled decently however lag could be observed if you try to go overboard. The storage can be expanded up to 512 GB.
In the camera domain, this phone has a dual rear camera setup with a 13 MP primary sensor and 2 MP normal depth sensor for the bokeh effect. The front sensor has an 8 MP shooter. 3. Vivo U10
Vivo U10 is an amazing smartphone and the contender for the best smartphone under 10000. The U means the unstoppable and the phone offers some great specification to claim that.
This U10 has a 6.35-inch display with a notch design. The display has decent brightness and color reproduction for a smartphone under 9000 budget. The back of the phone is plastic with a gradient finish with a shiny tinge.
It comes with a very powerful processor Snapdragon 665 and scores around 143000 on the AnTuTu benchmark and leaves behind all other phones in this price range by a big margin. It comes in 3 Variants 3 GB RAM with 32 GB and 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM with 64 GB storage. You can expand the storage using a dedicated SD card slot up to 256 GB.
The phone performance is really impressive thanks to the SD665 processor. If you use multiple apps at a time, then for the 4 GB RAM variant.
For an under 10000, you get a real triple camera comprising of 13MP primary sensor, 8 MP wide-angle sensor, and the 2 MP depth sensor. The front camera gets an 8MP sensor. The camera is good for day to day shots and colors captured are good. The camera lacks some detailing though but for an under 9000 or under 10000 smartphone, some shortfalls are expected. The camera app offers multiple filters to apply to the picture clicked. The phone also handles the portrait shots really well.
There is a big battery of 5000 mAh and delivers around 1.5 to 2 days of battery life but it makes the phone slightly heavy. There is a micro USB for charging but it supports fast charging so nothing to worry about.
It runs on FunTouch 9.1 operating system based on Android Pie. The fingerprint at the back and the face unlocking mechanism works accurately and are pretty fast. Overall for under 9000 best smartphones, Vivo U10 has a great processor, camera and also supports fast charging.

4. Infinix S4
Infinix S4 is has a 6.21-inch dewdrop notch display. It has an HD+ resolution and the sharpness and colors are decent. The back is made of polycarbonate with a gradient design looks which looks good but surely not premium as in other slightly costly phones.
The phone is powered with a Helio P22 processor with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage. You can expand the storage up to 256 GB using a dedicated SD card slot. Infinix S4 offers decent performance and offers decent multitasking. The phone suffers some lag in high-end gaming and heavy apps but other smartphones like Realme 3, Redmi Note 7 in the similar under 10k price range have much-improved performance.
Moving to the camera, we have a triple rear camera with 13 MP, 8 MP and 2 MP sensors. The front camera holds a 32 MP sensor. The camera quality is decent and supports AI features and beauty mode. The edge detection and detaining are fine and look like Infinix has tried to stuff a lot of things to make it look like a camera-centric smartphone.
The battery has a 4000 mAh capacity and has a micro USB port and a 10 W charger for charging. The box bundles a TPU case and a screen protector. The XOS based on Android Pie powers the operating system and we can see a lot of bloatware apps preinstalled on the phone.
It is overall a decent smartphone under 9000 but there is nothing extraordinary. If you need a triple rear camera phone on a budget then go for it.

5. Redmi 7
Redmi 7 comes with a 6.26-inch display which is sharp and bright for under 8k price point. The build is of polycarbonate material but with the shine, it looks like glass. The design is also good for the price range as the phone competes with the Realme 3.
On the processor side, Redmi 7 brings in a Snapdragon 632 with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage which can be expanded up to 512 MB. The phone has an Antutu of 104862 which does not match to the competition of Realme 3. So the processor is not the best but is a decent choice for day to day tasks and medium level multitasking.
For the camera, Redmi 7 gets a dual rear camera of 12 MP primary sensor and 2 MP depth sensor. The front camera has an 8 MP sensor and the camera overall performs in a standard manner and does not offer anything extraordinary. The Redmi Y3 has a better selfie camera is a similar budget.
The battery is good with 4000 mAH rating and offers a backup of more than a day however the phone does not support fast charging. The software has MIUI 10 installed based on the Android Pie and has bloatware but offers many features.
Redmi 7 is not the best phone in the market and a slight budget increase can get you a much better phone. If you are looking for Redmi 7, you can increase your budget to Rs 9000 to get the 3GB RAM variant so it would be best if you can get the Redmi Note 7 with much better specifications.

Storage-RAM | 32 GB-2 GB |

6. Vivo Y91i
Vivo Y91i is a nice looking phone from Vivo with a large 6.2-inch display. The display resolution is HD+ 720 and the aspect ratio is 19:9. The display has a V-shaped teardrop/dewdrop notch on top and the bezels are very thin all around. The screen to body ratio of this phone is around 90% which is excellent considering it is a budget phone.
The back of the phone has a gradient design with 2 colors. The phone is made of polycarbonate but feels good in the hand. On the back there a single 13MP camera and on the front there is a single 5MP camera sensor. Both cameras perform well in outdoor conditions where lighting is good. Indoor performance of the cameras is just average.
The phone is powered by MediaTek Helio P22 chipset with 2GB of RAM. The internal storage is 32GB and can be expanded by up to 256GB with a MicroSD card. The slot is dedicated so you can use 2 Sim cards with a MicroSD card. The chipset and RAM combination is good for basic use but not for heavy gaming use. If you are going to use the phone for taking pictures and using social media apps then there is no problem. If you need a phone for gaming then this phone will lag a bit and is not recommended.
The battery inside the phone is 4030 mAh and would last for 1.5 days on a single charge. There is no fingerprint sensor on this phone but you can use the Face unlock feature instead of a PIN.
Overall, this is a nice looking affordable phone from Vivo under 8000 and 9000 Rs. in India.

7. Samsung Galaxy A10
Samsung Galaxy A10 is the most affordable smartphone of the Galaxy A series and is priced around Rs. 8000 in India. Like other A series phones, the A10 comes with a large 6.22-inch HD+ display with an Infinity V notch on top which also houses the front 5MP camera. The back of the A10 is very basic and has a 13MP single rear camera with a flash.
The phone comes with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. There is also a dedicated MicroSD card to increase storage. The 32GB storage is fine for most users but the 2GB RAM can act as a bottleneck if you use a lot of apps and games. 3GB here would have made the experience much more smooth. The processor is Exynos 7884 which is Samsung's own processor and is a decent performer.
The phone takes decent pictures in outdoor and indoor conditions but phone like Realme 3 perform a lot better in the camera department. The battery inside the phone is just 3400 mAh and would last for a day with medium usage.
The phone comes installed with the latest Android 9.0 Pie. Samsung has good after sales service which is another positive for this phone.
Overall, it is a good phone under 8000 and 9000 Rs if we consider the brand value of Samsung. If you can go for other brands then go for Realme 3 which provides much better performance at just Rs. 500 extra.

8. Realme 3
Realme 3 is the 4th smartphone launched by Realme for an under 10000 budget in last 1 year. Realme 3 comes with an upgraded processor and camera sensor for a price of just Rs 8999.
It has a 6.22-inch HD+ display with a dewdrop notch design. The back is build of polycarbonate and not the glass as seen in the Redmi Note 7. This smartphone is powered by the new MediaTek Helio P70 which was also seen in the Realme U1 and is a very powerful processor. Realme 3 scores 1,37,901 on the Antutu which is just short of the Redmi Note 7.
The rear camera has a 13 MP primary sensor and 2 MP depth sensor to support the portrait shots. For the front camera, we get a 13 MP sensor. The camera performance looks good as the image captured has natural colors and decent detailing. The portrait shots somewhat faced some issues but overall the camera worked decently well for the price range.
There are two variants available with 3GB-32GB priced at Rs 8999 and 4GB-64GB configuration priced at 10999. Realme 3 holds a 4230 mAh battery and can easily work for more than 1.5 days. Despite a high rated battery, the phone feels light in hand. We have both the fingerprint and face unlocking on the phone and they work extremely fast and are accurate. The software is upgraded to the Color OS 6.0 which is a custom skin based on Android 9.0 and they introduced app tray in this new UI but has some bloatware as well.
There is a dedicated SD card slot so you can expand the memory along with dual sim usage. The phone has a micro USB port and does not support fast charging. For pricing under 10000, the phone looks decent but not a great value for money given what Redmi Note 7 offers at Rs 1000 extra pricing.

9. Samsung M10
Samsung M10 is Samsung's budget phone to compete with brands like Redmi and Realme. It comes with great looks and large display and doesn't look like a budget phone at all. The display is 6.2 inches large and the resolution is HD+. It has a tiny waterdrop notch on top. Samsung calls it Infinity V display. The bezels are thin and the screen to body ratio is above 90%.
There is a dual camera setup on the back and single front selfie camera. The rear setup is 13MP+5MP where 13MP is a color lens and 5MP is ultra wide angle lens to capture a wider field of view. The front camera is a normal 5MP sensor. The camera performance is quite good considering the device is priced at less than Rs. 8000 and there's not much to complain.
The phone is powered by Samsung's own Exynos 7870 chipset and comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage. The price difference is just 1000 so it makes sense to go for the higher variant as extra RAM will be useful in multitasking and extra storage is always great to store more music, videos, and other files. There is a dedicated MicroSD slot available as well to increase the storage by up to 256GB.
The battery inside the M10 is 3400 mAh and would give a backup of 1 day with normal usage. With low use you can get around 1.5 days on a single charge.
Overall, M10 is a solid offering from Samsung in the budget segment and competes with phones like Realme C1, Realme 2 and Redmi 6. It is the best phone under 9000 from Samsung in India.

10. Realme 2 Pro
Realme 2 Pro is a Flipkart exclusive smartphone. It comes with a 6.3 Inch display with dewdrop/waterdrop notch and a Full HD Plus screen resolution. The display has perfect brightness and viewing angles and you would enjoy using it. The back on the phone has a plastic(polycarbonate) body but has a shiny finish which looks like a glass finish. The build quality is decent and the phone is easy to hold and use as it weighs only 170 gm.
It is powered by the Snapdragon 660 processor which is a very powerful chipset for a phone under 15k and scores around 1,30,000 on the Antutu Benchmarks. It comes in 3 variants with RAM and Internal storage configuration as 4GB-64GB, 6GB-64GB and 8 GB- 128GB variants. The performance is super smooth and top notch even with heavy games and high multitasking. On the camera side, we get a dual rear camera with 16 MP f/1.7 and 2MP(depth) sensor which clicks perfect and crisp both day and low light images. The portrait shot edge detection also works very well. On the front camera, we have a 16MP f/2.0 sensor which also clicks beautiful images and also supports portrait shots. There is AI beauty mode for both the front and rear camera that recognizes the scene and changes the contrast, exposure and colour for images to look better.
Realme 2 Pro supports both fingerprint and face unlocking mechanism and both the methods are very very quick and work accurately. The battery on this smartphone is a 3500 mAh rated and lasts for around a day or a bit more with medium usage. The charger in the box is 5V 2A which is not a fast charger and the charging port is a Micro USB and not a type C.
Realme 2 Pro runs on Color OS 5.2 operating system based on Android Oreo 8.1. The UI is not the best here and has bloatware that does not give the best user experience. Apart from this, all is perfect with this Realme 2 Pro smartphone for the price range it offers. This phone does not get any IP rating so you need to protect it from dust and water.
Realme 2 Pro is the latest king of the budget smartphone with superior features and specification compared to other phones in the under 12000 price range.
